Was looking at Aeroplan miles and Asia miles. I've come to a conclusion that Asia miles worth more than Aeroplan.haha.

45000 miles for Asia Miles but 80000 miles for Aeroplan. I think maybe it's because Aeroplan points are easier to earn as compare to Asia miles since I can just earn points by using my credit card..Well, I can already use my Asia miles to redeem a roundtrip ticket to London, or just upgrade to business class from TO to HK. And maybe I can just redeem airtix to Cancun with Aeroplan points since I've purchased a hotel package out of nothing...Some random woman called me from Starwood Preference Group asking if I'm interested to purchase a hotel package at Westin Cancun for only 200plus..Maybe I was too bored or crazy? So I just said OKAY coz the original price is 900plus...haha..It's real btw..I've received letter from SPG already.Still thinking of how to use the miles b4 they expire.haha.

沙茶果又名“灌果条”

有一种干捞的食法，因“捞”后需加入油、酱料等，故在潮州方言称为“灌”，捞粿条在潮州称为灌“粿条”。它的吃法是先将粿条在沸腾的汤锅中焯熟，捞起滤干水分，倒在碗中，拌以花生酱、沙茶酱、猪油、味精、鱼露、浙醋等，再加上焯熟的肉片、生菜等。粿条润滑柔软的口感和花生酱、沙茶酱浓浓的香味。

故事一

几个学生问哲学家苏格拉底：“人生是什么？”苏格拉底把他们带到一片苹果树林，要求大家从树林的这头走到那头，每人挑选一只自己认为最大最好的苹果。不许走回头路，不许选择两次。

　　在穿过苹果林的过程中，学生们认真细致地挑选自己认为最好的果实。可等到了苹果林的另一端，大家又不约而同地请求再选择一次。

　　一个学生请求说，“我刚走进果林时，就发现了一个很大很好的苹果,但我还想找一个更大更好的。当我走到果林尽头时，才发现第一次看到的那个就是最大最好的。”

　　另一个学生紧接着说：“我和他恰好相反。我走进果林不久，就摘下了一个我认为最大最好的果子。可是，后来我又发现了更好的。所以我后悔了。”

　　苏格拉底笑了笑，语重心长地说：“孩子们，这就是人生──人生就是一次次无法重复的选择。”



故事二


耶和华的三个徒弟问他，“什么是人生”，耶和华没有回答，带着三个徒弟来到一个苹果园。苹果园很大，一眼看不到边际，里面长有数不清的、形态各异的苹果。

他们走到第一处果园，耶和华说，“你们每个人都可以摘一个自己最喜爱的苹果，但不能走出这片园子”。

一个人看到树上的金苹果尽管略带青涩但娇嫩芬芳，于是小心的摘下；第二个人，选了个很大很红，亮得发光的金苹果摘下来；第三个人，在地上挑选了一个熟透了的金苹果。三人拿着各自的苹果都很满意。

于是，耶和华又领着三个弟子游遍了所有果园。弟子们惊讶地发现，每到一处都有更新鲜的美景和更多、更好、更诱人的苹果。弟子问道：

“师傅，我们可以再摘一个吗？”

“不可以！”

“可以换一个吗？”

“不可以！”

“为什么？”

“这就是人生”耶和华答道。



　　结束语

　　面对无法回头的人生，我们只能做三件事：

　　郑重地选择，争取不留下遗憾；

　　既然选择了，就义无反顾地接受;

世上从不存在最完美的选择，只要你当时满意就行了。



I think it's super true...was discussing this with pf...Both of us experienced this before...Especially “我刚走进果林时，就发现了一个很大很好的苹果,但我还想找一个更大更好的。当我走到果林尽头时，才发现第一次看到的那个就是最大最好的。”...It's really hard to foresee and predict the future...So I think we shall cherish the present and treasure what we have...Yupz, I think I got my lesson le...Dun wanna make the same mistake anymore...

出门

宅这么久, 决定今天要出门了, haha..好久没有化妆了..去了sherway gardens..吃了the keg..看了tropical thunder..这种感觉比较 normal...haha..比较像我会过的日子..but but but, 习惯早睡的我有点累..lol..


没买什么, 买了一条william sonoma围裙..还有这堆东西..要试一试这家的护肤品好不好用..也不想荒废我家大大的浴缸...haha...








Tropical thunder 有点像大杂烩..好多明星...Tom Cruise都差点认不出来...haha...ok..it's a funny and lame movie...

宅女

These few days I'm very 宅! Haha.. I'm very lazy to go out actually..sorry guys, I'm too lazy to travel..haha..I stay home so can watch Olympics..But Olympics is over already...the next time will be 2012 in London...Proud of China, 100 medals...51 gold.

These 2 days, I woke up around 8am, watched Olympics, talked to baby, watched tvb online and cooked...Cooked 2 meals a day...I never cooked in my kitchen since April move in..haha...cooked 2nd meal around 5pm coz I ate brunch around 11...After cooking, I'll water the lawn...front and back...haha...then watch show...go to bed around 11plus...haha..I wanna sleep early and wake up early...to have a regular life.

態度

一直记得Sec 2的时候蔡老师一直强调的:态度
虽然她很凶, 给的分数不高, 但是很庆幸可以做她的学生. Haha.
一直记得她说过的一个例子, 如果a-z代表一个不同的数字, 那attitude加起来就等于一百分.
a(1)+t(20)+t(20)+i(9)+t(20)+u(21)+d(4)+e(5)=100

做人真的要有态度,而且要全方面的.
很难, 真的不容易.
所以这是持之以恒的.

说真的, 我越来越重视态度.
至于身边那些没有态度的人, 或许保持距离是最好方法.

有感而发. 挺感动的.

Olympic fan

Guess I'm a huge fan of the Beijing game. Love the wrap up show "Olympic Panaroma" on cctv 1 at the end of the day. I watched the game b4 I go to bed and after I wake up around 9am..haha...Yea, trying to sleep b4 12 and wake up around 9 hoping to have a better complexion...and I think it works...Called mummy yesterday and she told me that one of the winner of the 10m Men's Synchronise Diving, Lin Yue, is from our homwtown Chaozhou...haha...congrats congrats...glad for him...Finally his family's condition will become better...







The one thing we did alot for the past 2 months was to follow each other's car on the streets of Toronto...haha...sometimes I followed her, sometimes she followed me...why not drive one car? lol...coz everytime right after we have dinner, we headed home...and she lives on the North...This picture was taken on 7th Aug, the day b4 Olympic games on Bloor...Amy was in front and she took pictures of that too..I don't know what's on these people's mind? Human rights? Or it's just politics? I wonder what will Tibet become if the CCP let it go, which will never happen...Well, I believe most of Tibetans in China are good people...And for those Canadians who support the freedom of Tibet...I wonder if you support the independence of Quebec too?






Toronto's weather in the month of Aug is really really weird...I think it's becoming like Sg's weather...haha...it keeps raining!!! weird..well, it's good for me coz I don't have to water the lawn when it rains...haha







The best lobster I've ever eaten in Canada...baby yellow's father told me that Canada has alot of good quality lobster b4 I came to this land...but, guess baby yellow and I were kinda cheated by him...haha..a big thank u to Amy who brought me to such good place...Went to this Italian restaurant b4 she went back...it's good too...my first time to Italian restaurant in Canada...nv take pictures though...haha..

现在看来, 约定不能实现了.
本来不想去看奥运, 觉得太多人太挤.
当奥运会越来越接近, 我却想去看了.
人啊,真是矛盾.

今年六月份去了北京, 事隔七年, 北京因为奥运会变了, 变得很好.
